Ceramic veneers


Veneers are very thin ceramic coatings (0, 5 mm) that are bonded to the outer face of the teeth and allow sustainable beautification smile.







The technique of ceramic veneers provides a durable correction:

  • The color of teeth when deep colorations exist that can not be handled by a simple laundering.
  • The slight malposition or dental congestion.
  • Abnormalities tooth shape (too narrow or fractured).
  • The wear and caries restored with composite (resin =) unsightly.





Two sessions are required for this transformation of the smile.


First session:

The practitioner performs a skin preparation on the outer side of the patient's teeth by removing only a small layer of enamel (0.2 to 0.5 mm). The procedure is painless. An impression of the prepared teeth is taken and sent to the laboratory with instructions for the color and shape you want.





Second session:

Ceramic veneers developed few days are tried and stuck on the tooth enamel. The practitioner can play at that time still on the hue using more or less clear adhesive resins. This technique is quite reliable, thanks to the use of highly resistant adhesives in the time and the ceramic material of which the sealed surface provides continuous maintenance of hue over time.
